In November 2020, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele presented his latest collection as a seven-part mini-series created together with Gus Van Sant. At the center is the Italian performer Silvia Calderoni (who will also be a guest again at Kampnagel in December with her group Motus). Van Sant follows her through Rome with his camera and creates a colorful utopia of life. The series begins in Calderoni's apartment, where philosopher Paul Preciado addresses her with a critique of gender ascriptions and proclaims the revolution of love and desire. In the following episodes, Calderoni meets Arlo Parks in a café, rehearses a bolero choreography with Sasha Waltz and her ensemble in the theater, and encounters the musician Florence Welch in a second-hand Guccci store, where she programmatically writes "Tomorrow could be different" on a piece of paper. Calderoni is joined again and again by musicians such as Billie Eilish or Harry Stlyes, who talks to the 82-year-old Italian art historian and Transavantgarde theorist Achille Bonito Oliva. In a cinematic flow of music, philosophical sentences, stylish outfits and beautiful images, Van Sant celebrates individuality and art with this mini-series.
