Hospice is a type of care that focuses on the palliation of chronically/terminally ill people, their emotional and spiritual needs, as well as the needs of their caregivers. Ideas of found family, a radicalized notion of hope and desire in the face of hetero-dominant conceptions of death, and simply, the politics and privilege of choosing how one wants to live their final days, are just a few examples of queering an otherwise Westernized systemically defined process. The show deals with these notions of radical survival and the body as its own hospice.
