Theater & Performance
  • Sat, 18.06.2016 20:00
    Kampnagel – K6

German/Ivorian performance group Gintersdorfer/Klaßen has been in regular residence at Bremen municipal theatre. This project is their first foray into classical music. Their approach taps into the “operatic” system by turning over into multiple authorship a once unified work composed by one author. This confronts both sides with unfamiliar situations. Spontaneity and improvisation rarely occur in traditional opera and may initially induce stress in everyone involved. On the other hand the set ways of traditional western opera are a challenge for our Ivorian Showbiz stars.

Ivorian singer SKelly features in this project; his performance is a personal translation and take you onto new levels of hearing. In addition we have former punk musician Ted Gaier of legendary Goldene Zitronen eminence, Bremen opera's musical director Benedikt von Peter, the ensemble singers of Bremen Theater, the Bremen philharmonic orchestra, actor Hauke Heumann, Ivorian show star Gadoukou la Star, and fellow Ivorian performer Gotta Depri.
