As a joint project within the framework of Claiming Common Spaces, the Bündnis internationaler Produktionshäuser use the k to go app. This creates a unique opportunity to take part in the festival without having to travel. Each house commissioned artists to produce videos on the theme of "Feeling myself in public space". The result is up to 3-minute video sculptures that offer different artistic approaches, perspectives and instructions for preparing oneself individually for the coming post-pandemic future and rediscovering one's own physicality.

#0: BEGRÜSSUNG MIT AMELIE DEUFLHARD (KAMPNAGEL)

#1 NUTROPOWER "READY TO RECHARGE?" (TANZHAUS NRW, DÜSSELDORF)

Bahar Gökten and Yeliz Pazar from the nutrospektif collective meet you for a digital energy upload.

Performance: Bahar Gökten, Yeliz Pazar (nutrospektif)

#2: VIA NEGATIVA "ONE TWO FREE" (FFT, DÜSSELDORF)

One cannot understand the concept of freedom alone. To experience freedom there has to be at least two. Freedom is an endless game of master and servant, of servant and master, of servant and servant, of master and master.

Conceived by Anita Wach. Performers: Anita Wach, Kristina Aleksova. Director: Bojan Jablanovec. Camera: Rok Kajzer Nagode. Music: Eduardo Raon. vntheatre.com / fft-duesseldorf.de

#3: VIA NEGATIVA "THE KISS"  (FFT, DÜSSELDORF)

The Kiss could be an act of healing, or an act of killing. As long as the space between the lips remains neutral we are free from consequences. But oh Lord, a whole civilisation might fall when The Kiss finally happens.

Conceived by Kristina Aleksova. Performers: Kristina Aleksova, Loup Abramovici. Director: Bojan Jablanovec. Camera: Rok Kajzer Nagode. Music: ''Jutri gremo v napad'' (We're going on the attack tomorrow), Slovenian Partisan Song from WWII, written by Matej Bor, composed by Janez Kuhar, performed by Partizanski pevski zbor

#4: SIRYEL CHTIOUI, WILLIAM HAYBOR-VENOUS, KWAME OSEI "MELLOW STREET" (PACT ZOLLVEREIN, ESSEN)

Drifting through the streets, through the city with its carefree pulsating energy, being loud, being unbridled, being together – with "Mellow Street" the dancers tell us about what we are missing right now.

#5 NEWFRONTEARS "WAITING IS A PLACE #1" (HAU – HEBBEL AM UFER, BERLIN)
#6 NEWFRONTEARS "WAITING IS A PLACE #2" (HAU – HEBBEL AM UFER, BERLIN)

The avatars in the contribution by the artist duo NewFrontEars ask digital-poetic questions: "Everywhere is nowhere and everything was once now. Do you remember when it happened? Find the echo and repeat the movement."

#7: AUBREY BEARDSLEY "UNTITLED DANCE SUITE"  (HELLERAU – EUROPÄISCHES ZENTRUM DER KÜNSTE, DRESDEN)

The Untitled Dance Suite is a danced commentary on the current situation, deliberately kept abstract so that it can fit different locations and contents.

Choreography: Joseph Hernandez, Music: Barret Anspach

#8:  GO PLASTIC COMPANY "ASPHALTWELTEN PART 2" (HELLERAU – EUROPÄISCHES ZENTRUM DER KÜNSTE, DRESDEN)

The plastic Company set 13 artists* from 5 countries the same task: "Push the wall away with all your might. Yellow and blue."

Performance: Joseph Hernandez, Cindy Hammer, Rika Yotsumoto, Beatrix Simkó, Réka Oberfrank (Budapest), Silvia Svitekova, Karol Regeci, Lukas Zahy (Bratislava), Cat Jiménez, Hygin Delimat (Vienna), Tereza Lenerova, Tomas Janykpa + Tinka Avramova (Prague). Concept / Artistic Direction: Cindy Hammer / Susan Schubert. https://asphaltwelten.goplasticcompany.de

#9: GO PLASTIC COMPANY "LIVING MONUMENTS" (HELLERAU – EUROPÄISCHES ZENTRUM DER KÜNSTE, DRESDEN)

A choreographic contribution to the culture of remembrance that deals with the problem of embodiment.

Performance: Cindy Hammer, Joseph Hernandez, Rika Yotsumoto; Music: First Rain by Duval Timothy

#10 BABY OF CONTROL "INSTITUTE FOR FRICTION DIMINISHING" (KÜNSTLERHAUS MOUSONTURM, FRANKFURT AM MAIN)

Baby of Control is a dispatched task force of the Long Thin Planet and its Moons – official international and interstellar designation "Long Thin Planet and its Moons". They use domestic bureaucratic resources to test the phantasmagorical facts of "Earth music" and reproduce it in controlled conditions. Earth music broadens horizons in a very sustainable way and all can be human...

#11 HOUSE OF BROWNIES "EMBRACING ONES SELF" (KAMPNAGEL, HAMBURG / QUEER B-CADEMY)

Pascal, Marcelino, Ricardo and David use the means of movement art to embark on a journey of self-discovery in which they defy the cis-heteronormative society that was sold to them as a matter of course in their upbringing.

CLAIMING COMMON SPACES III is a project by Bündnis der internationalen Produktionshäuser fundend by: die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
