LIVE ART FESTIVAL #8 SUPERSPACES invites international and glocal artists to imagine Kampnagel as cultural center of the future. In various ways they each work on open and offensive concepts of artistic format, of space and communities. Inspired by “Fun Palace”, the never realized draft of a futuristic cultural temple by architect Cedric Price from the 1960s, SUPERSPACES offers space for diverse access to the theater, from the classical visit of a performance to spending time for days or nights on end.

Within the Kampnagel halls as well as on newly created locations on the grounds questions about the conditions of leisure times and artistic production are raised. Therefore, each work creates their own alliance between art and audience, invites as different communities as football fan clubs, plants and local residents or teenagers. For the two weeks of the festival a participatory and open institution is rehearsed, the #eventbude Kampnagel is giving spaces for fictional and utopian concepts of theater.
