The artistic duo deufert&plischke are celebrating their 10th birthday by presenting the final part of their ANARCHIV series. Their starting point is perhaps the most famous work ever written about love and war - the Nibelungenlied. As in the pieces ANARCHIV#1 and #2, which likewise had their premieres at Kampnagel, this final part also deals with the tried and tested methodology of ‘reformulation’, integrating the sympathy of the audience into the production. ANARCHIV#3: SONGS OF LOVE AND WAR circles around and examines the entire Nibelungen saga, how its complex accumulation of love and war together is taken apart, fed, put back together and retold. Kattrin Deufert and Thomas Plischke are among the most successful choreographers in Hamburg and present their pieces around the world in theatres such as the Kaaitheater in Brussels or at festivals such as steirischen herbst in Graz.
