To open the three month art festival WIRNENNENES HAMBURG, the Hamburg Performance Group LIGNA (Ole Frahm, Michael Hueners and Torsten Michaelsen) presents a performance-based audio play. The theatre visitors will become active participants. Split into four groups, they will encounter over headphones, both acoustically and though performance, four artists from the Twenties, – Brecht, Laban, Chaplin and Meyerhold – who each developed the idea of THE NEW MAN through the mediums of theatre, dance and film..What about these utopian movements and their revolutionary hopes is still relevant? The listeners explore the theatre space and their own bodies in a range of gesticular exercises and experience a new situation. Theory, practice and theatrical experience are combined to create a collective performance.
