Gianni Jovanovic is Roma and was born in Rüsselsheim. He became married at 14, was a father of two at 17, later came out as gay and is now a grandfather of two. In his book debut (Blumenbar Verlag), he – together with the journalist Oyindamola Alashe – tells the story of his live. A story of self-empowerment and an appeal for an anti-racist, diverse society.
