Lin Hierse, born in Braunschweig in 1990, studied Asian studies and human geography, lives in Berlin and has been an editor at the taz since 2019. In her debut novel WOVON WIR TRÄUMEN (Piper Verlag), she subtly, courageously, and with a fine feeling for language tells of a relationship between mother and daughter and the questions of identity, closeness, and demarcation. Following the traces of German-Chinese history, she finds a form of a way of understanding migration not as trauma, but as a dream.
