Kampnagel – K6
Sevdah, otherwise known as ‘the Bosnian Fado’ represents the kind of melancholy love songs that were previously sung in the Ottoman Empire. Bozo Vreco flouts ethnic boundaries when, as a Bosnian Serb, he devotes himself to Sevdah, the music of Bosnian Muslims. The passionate musician and self-educated man breaks yet another taboo, which up until now was non-negotiable in the Balkans. He refuses to define his sexuality and plays with notions of femininity and masculinity on stage.
