    Kampnagel – KMH

The singer/songwriter Emel Mathlouthi has always done her thing. Already as a student in autocratic Tunisia she sang in a heavy metal band, later she became the prominent musical voice of the Arab Spring an  the Jasmine Revolution because of her engagement for the Tunisian Revolution. After emigrating to Paris, Mathlouthi expanded her Tunisian folk style into a hyper-contemporary Electronica version, without losing any of her political uncompromisingness. Her latest album “Everywhere We Looked Was Burning“ is dedicated to the four elements earth, air, water and fire, which are also reflected in the special instrumentation of the album.
