Prof. Dr. Mojib Latif is one of Germany’s leading meteorologists, climate researcher at the university of Kiel, president of the German Society of the Club of Rome, and winner of numerous awards and scientific prizes. In his work, he consistently combines science and environmental education. Thus he has not only become a sought-after expert in serious TV talk shows on the subject, but as an author has also published numerous broadly understandable works on the complex backgrounds of man-made global warming, and is also one of the sharpest public critics of the environmental policy of Germany. As part of a festival focus on climate change (including Hannes Grassegger’s live report with international guests) and in the frame of the Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance, Mojib Latif gives a lecture in English on the objectively demonstrable impact of human action on global warming, the current state of research on it’s effects on the environment and people, and on the concrete measures that could still prevent the worst from happening today – and on how these need to be enforced (politically and individually).

An event by ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius as part of Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance.
