• About Benjamin van Bebber

Leo Hofmann and Benjamin van Bebber put a contemporary spin on Monteverdi’s opera “Il ritorno d’UIisse in patria” (The Return of Ulysses to his Homeland), which they have adapted as a music performance for six voices and mobile electronica. The music becomes a map for an encounter with one’s inner strangeness. Playing together, making music together, the international ensemble seeks intimacy and a fragile home in a time of global migration and cultural uncertainty – and community beyond identitarian exclusion.
