    Kampnagel – KMH

After the John Maus concert unfortunately had to be cancelled, we put together a completely new evening at short notice - with two show titans from the Summer Festival program: Andreas Dorau is not only an exceptional pop musician with numerous albums about love, aliens and city libraries, but also part of the congenial team behind the Summer Festival opening production of KÖNIG DER MÖWEN (SEAGULL KING) - the musical dramedy about a Hamburg record store, city marketing and, of course, love. This shows is completely sold out, and for those who haven't got tickets (or are now addicted to KÖNIG DER MÖWEN-songs), Dorau will play a few songs from the musical with illustrious guests this evening - and many other hits of his career.

The evening of Jiddish Song by Canadian Über-musician Josh "Socalled" Dolgin at the Summer Festival is also sold out. Socalled is already in Hamburg a few days before to work with us on the third part of his Summer Festival-produced musical THE SEASON about forest animals and aliens. In a solo concert, the melody genius will once more break down the boundaries between hip hop, jazz, klezmer and dancehall - and set new standards in the art of solo entertaining. Anyone who has ever seen the magician, photographer, cartoonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and, more recently, porn film director, live, knows that we are not exaggerating (only remember the legendary evening with his buddies Chilly Gonzales and Mocky at last year's Summer Festival). The evening will be opened by experimental musician L Twills, friend of the Hamburg record store Hanseplatte, who presents this evening and was founded by the KÖNIG DER MÖWEN author Gereon Klug.
