In his latest production award-winning choreographer and dancer Akram Khan uses kathak and contemporary dance to tell the tale of Amba, a princess abducted on her wedding day. UNTIL THE LIONS is a partial adaptation of poet Karthika Naïr’s book “Until the Lions: Echoes from the Mahabharata”, an original reworking of the epic Mahabharata. This new show explores themes of gender and sexuality and changes that time forces on the body.
»This is a little recracker of a show, one that really stays with you and grows in the memory.« The Telegraph
