James Rhodes is known as the »bad boy« of concert pianists. Drugs, excess, rehab, etc. It sounds like a form of shock treatment to the classical music world. But his autobiography, »Instrumental,« which was published in German this spring, tells a different story: Rhodes explains that he doesn’t want to be a rock star or piano »bad boy«. He will not only be sitting in front of his piano at Kampnagel, but also be reading from his autobiography.
