Jenny Hval is a pop-feminist voice-artist in the vein of Yoko Ono, Laurie Anderson and Kate Bush. Until 2011 she performed under the artist name Rockettothesky, but ever since, Hval has published a novel and released five albums with lyrics about gender politics and sexuality under her birth name. Jenny Hval is now releasing more work in the form of her new album, »Blood Bitch,« on the Sacred Bones label. Hval claims it is her most fictional but personal album, »a poetic diary of modern transience and transcendence.«
