»Die Brüder Karamasow« (the brothers Karamasow) is a novel about three brothers and their father, about children, animals and a murder. It’s about faith in a world to which questions of faith are both rare and close. The leading subject is the unavailability and the incontinent of life. All figures are involved in situations and relationships they are not able to handle. Those incidents collapse over them suddenly and force them to be tangled, surprised and needy.
